Android on 64-bit Fedora 12

Since I plan on getting heavily involved in Android, here are a number of wiki pages that lead the reader through various stages of getting the Android emulator running on 64-bit F12, and moving on to writing and running apps.

Since this is being done on a 64-bit system and Android is currently a 32-bit emulator, all of these steps will involve installing some 32-bit packages on your system. Sorry, there's no way to avoid that for the time being.

In addition, since we're starting from scratch, we'll jump right into working with Android 2.1. If you want to work with an earlier version, just make the appropriate tweaks to everything you read here.

I'm also going to list the different phases of playing with Android from simplest to most difficult and involved, so you might need to follow through in that order as it may be necessary to complete earlier steps before continuing.

Finally, since these pages will be in constant flux, feel free to send suggestions or corrections to rpjday@crashcourse.ca.
