OpenWrt on the ASUS WL-500g Premium

What's all this, then?
This page and its subpages are going to document everything we possibly can regarding getting [OpenWrt] running on an ASUS WL-500G Premium (hereafter "WL500GP") 4-port wireless router. And in the interests of hackability, the goal here will be to use the latest software components -- that is, a 2.6 kernel-based Kamikaze release of OpenWrt, even if it means having to struggle a bit with the wireless for a while given the current lack of Broadcom support.
To that end, we're going to totally ignore any 2.4 kernel and White Russian documentation and issues.

You can find a lengthy collection of links to OpenWrt and WL500GP-related content at the page OpenWrt_WL500GP_links. If you have suggestions for additional links that should be added, or links that should be removed from that list, let us know.
